About Us

We study majorly three cellular processes, how cells invade extracellular matrix, how cells migrate in a collective fashion and how cells can ‘chew’ up other living cells. The first two processes enable the invasive cancer cells to metastasize and the last one helps the human gut parasite, Entamoeba histolytica to invade intestinal barrier and evade the host response. Using multidisciplinary approach through combination of analytical biochemistry, high resolution light microscope and computational tools we try to build the molecular models that tell the stories about the above the three processes and provide cues for potential new strategies for treatment.
